How to be a better worker, a new book claims.
The book is called Better Than Nothing, and it’s a must read for anyone in the tech industry, and anyone who has worked at a company that cares about the wellbeing of their staff.
Read moreThe book, written by founder and CEO Michael Lewis, was published on Thursday by HarperCollins.
It has been described as a must-read for anyone who works in the workplace, and someone who is concerned about the way work is being organised.
The premise of Better Than Never is that organisations need to get better at the job of running their organisation, Lewis said.
This includes creating a culture of respect and dignity, he said.
Lewis said the book is an attempt to take some of the lessons from his years as CEO of eBay, which was acquired by Amazon in 2011.
“It’s not just a good idea for an organisation to be better,” Lewis said in an interview.
“In many ways, it’s better to be worse than not to be at all.
If you want to be the best at your job, you have to do a better job.”
There is also the issue of the impact that work-life balance has on employees.
Lewis said one of the challenges in running an organisation is that there are always people at work.
“You want to get everyone together and say, ‘Let’s just get them all on board’,” he said, explaining that a good leader has to be able to lead people on and support them.
“I have to be willing to step in and tell people, ‘Look, this is how we’re going to get them there, but you’re not going to be there for that’.”
If we’re not doing it that way, we’re just not going anywhere.
“It is a good example of how a company can have an impact on the wellbeing and wellbeing of its employees, Lewis says.
It also argues that people who have to work outside the office are the ones who are more likely to suffer from stress, loneliness and depression.
In an interview with ABC News on Thursday, Lewis explained that he believes it is important for organisations to work towards a culture where everyone feels welcome, regardless of gender or ethnic background.”
The idea that we’re all going to live in this place of being in this little circle is really not true,” Lewis told the ABC.”
There are going to come a time where people will be forced to move out and that’s a good thing.
“What’s more, the book argues that a culture that allows for the work-family balance to be “re-built” in the future is essential.
Lewis has been an advocate of work-for-life policies since the early 1990s, and he has written books on the subject including The New Family, which he says has the potential to save more than half a million lives every year.”
We need to work on this and that means having a culture in which everyone has a job, and there are lots of people in your company who want to do that,” Lewis says in his book.”
If you don’t have that culture, then your job isn’t as fulfilling as it could be.
“For me personally, I think that’s an area where I think the tech sector is in trouble.”
